Yannis Armadouros is a man often seen down in the harbour where all the caique boats are moored. His caique boat is outstanding because of the bright colours. Do any of us know what this man does? Leaving in the early hours of the morning or late at night.

Yannis delivers all our dairy produce: cheese, eggs, yoghurt and milk and are transported in large fridges, arriving fresh on the island. Unloading and transportation on the island is done manually. Wooden carts are filled and the produce is then taken to fridges ready to be sold. All our fresh vegetables and fruit on Hydra are also collected from the mainland and transported by Yannis. Yannis travels every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday for dairy produce, vegetables and fruit.

The other days of the week, Yannis will deliver goods, anything from building material to furniture or even bulk shopping. I personally had him to deliver paint and afrolex for my verandas! If you need him to transport anything, he will be more than obliged to help out at a reasonable fee.

His destinations are Metoxi, Ermioni, Poros and Porto Heli. He can even be useful when the weather starts to change and no flying dolphins are running! An easy person to deal with and always has a smile on his face.
