HydraDirect.com is acutely aware of a need to serve our advertisers as well as possible by promoting Hydra in the best possible light. But we think that our readers, locals and visitors alike, are realistic enough to recognise that no where in the world can be deemed perfect and Hydra although idyllic in so many ways, is not perfect either. So we are cautiously going to stick our neck out and acknowledge openly that Hydra has a number of undesirable blemishes that can no longer, in light of the fire that swept the island this month, be similarly swept under the carpet by us. We feel compelled to start lobbying the Municipality to take constructive action.

So to start with we will gather as much information as possible. We will include photos of the dump, interview officials, get our hands on as much detail as possible and publish it on the site. And we will attempt to report our findings in as professional manner as possible without hearsay and as unbiasedly as possible.
