25th Jan – A morning service will be held at Ayios Grigoris church found in the grounds of the 2nd Primary school. Everyone is welcome. After the service, a New Year pita will be cut for the school and the student who is lucky enough to have the piece of pita that has the coin inside will be presented with a present.

08 February is a Greek orthodox celebration for those persons who are named Zaharias. Most name days are celebrated in their own homes or in restaurants where eating, drinking and lots of dancing takes place! Happy Name Day

18 Feb – The Municipality of Hydra invites everyone for a ‘Karaoke Party’. It will be held at the Melina Mercouri Hall, starting at 20.30. Welcoming all, for the start of the carnival festivities!

23rd Feb – The music association of Hydra invites everyone for an unforgettable night of music and dancing! There will be plenty of homemade food, drink and LIVE music played from Hydra’s own orchestra. It will be held at Douskos Taverna starting at 20.30 until late. Price for tickets is 20 euros per person. Come and join in the fun!

24 Feb – A ‘karaoke’ party for all the children at the Melina Mercouri Hall. It has been arranged by the Municipality of Hydra. Starts 19.30. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun!
