Pentecost is the fiftieth day after Easter Sunday, which corresponds to the tenth day after Acension Thursday. It is a feast in the Christian liturgical calendar that commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and the followers of Jesus on that day. Pentecost is also commonly known as "Whitsun" or "WhitSunday" in English-speaking areas

 First international meeting of improvised music in the Historical Museum of Hydra.   From 13th-15th June 2008. Renowned musicians from different countries and from Greece will meet in on Hydra Island for three days of concerts in the old mansion of the Historical Museum of Hydra. The music which will be performed is based on creative improvisation, touching all the genres. The artistic director of the impro - days - hydra  is musician Floros Floridis (contact: floridis@aol.com), the organizer is the non-profit association Impro-Hydra, with seat in Koundourioti 1, Hydra, Greece.   If you would like to attend, please let us know.
