24th June – Everyone invited to come and join in at the football stadium of Hydra at 21.00. Here they will burn all of the 1st of May wreaths collected from the all of the buildings in Hydra. A tradition that they used to do in previous years on Hydra and will again capture the same spirit especially for the younger generation of the island. If any parents are able to bring some snacks, cakes or refreshments, it will be much appreciated so as to have a really enjoyable night for everyone. Biggest display of fireworks held in this part of Greece as part of the re-enactment of the defeat of the Turkish Fleet by Hydra's Admiral Miaoulis. Hosted by the Municipality of Hydra.
