Homeowners E1 Income Tax Return Due
The 31st March is the final day for submission of the E1 Annual Income Tax Return which all property owners must file with their tax office (ie the office that issued the AFM), even if your return is zero. Fine for none submission is €60. If you're not sure what to do, then please visit Stavros (friendly English speaking tax officer) at the Poros tax office who is happy to help anyone to get their papers in order. If you've never submitted your E9 he will also help you to do this as well. You will need to take your title deed with you as well as proof of the original purchase money coming into the country from abroad (otherwise you'll have to pay income tax) and if your AFM was registered in Athens, you will need to take your electricity bill (obviously in your name) with you so that the AFM can be transferred to Poros. If you are worried about what the implications of getting your paperwork in order might be, please don't hesitate to contact me on 22980 53751 or 694 2796 401 for some friendly, free of charge advice. Best regards, Kelsey
