2007 - The caique boat that had been built for this years Miaoulis celebration, ready to be filled with explosives unfortunately sunk that very same morning. With great efforts though and planning they used another caique boat at last minute warning. People on the caique held flames to improvise that it was on fire and other boats around them threw smoke bombs in to the water. The effects were really quite amazing. A big thank you should be given to Takis Listis, Ellen and Ebee Baumann for their team spirit and lending their own caique boat, so that the celebrations could still go ahead.
