Nightlife on Hydra Island

Don't expect huge nightclubs and massive bars that would normally be associated with those of the Greek islands that attract mass tourism. Nightlife in Hydra centers around seven places all conveniently arranged around the harbour so they are within very easy walking distance of each other. They all have their own character, all have a fully-stocked bar and offer cocktails. And they all have seating outside with resident DJ's playing their own style of music depending on the taste of the guests on any particular evening. The general routine is to start at one, then wander round to another, then another and possibly back to the first one later on. Some, have live music some nights and they generally publish event dates like Full-Moon parties and guest musicians and DJ's so it's worth checking their posters around town.

The entire port becomes one huge party with everyone moving between the evening bars. Start with a sundowner at the Hydronetta, stroll round to say hello to visitors already having pre-dinner cocktails at the Pirate, dance and drinks at Papagalos, Red, Amalour and calling in at 1821 is a must.
