Just 30 minutes to court at Porto Hydra!

Calling All Tennis Fanatics
Christos Smirniotis is a tennis fanatic who lives on Hydra full-time and would be delighted to share your enthusiasm for the game.
So if you are also a tennis fan and want to play tennis while you are on holiday on Hydra Island Greece, then Christos would love to hear from you.
Sadly there are no courts on Hydra but there are just a short trip over on the mainland. Ever hungry for a game of tennis and always in need of partners, Christos is happy to make all the arrangements, to meet fellow players, take the passenger ferry to Metochi and share the cost of a taxi and play on the courts at Porto Hydra. Contact Christos and he will reply with an inclusive amount depending upon the time of year and the number of participants.
Rackets & Tennis Balls
Don't worry about packing your racket, Christos has enough for you to use.
Informal Game or Informal Lesson
Whether you are on your own, or you want to arrange a session for the group of friends you're holidaying with, or even a family with children, Christos is happy to join you and make the arrangements.
And if you want informa lessons, then again Christos is your man!
Refreshments & What to Bring
During the high season, the cafe next to the courts is open for refreshments but out of season you will need to bring your own water.
There's a small taverna at Metochi which is a great place to buy a snack and after game drink while waiting for the return passenger ferry back to Hydra.
Christos has a supply of equipment for you to use but especially during the summer you will need to bring your own sunblock and wear a cap. During the Autumn and Spring (even on the good days during the winter) you will need to wear layers of clothing and a wind/water proof jacket.
This is an informal activity for tennis players to get a social game rather than a business so Chistos will arrange everything for you and keep the costs to a minmum. He will quote for each trip depending upon the time of year and number of participants as the costs vary depending upon the season.
If however, you want a one-to-one lesson to learn the basic, Christos is an advanced enough player to help you. So you will need to contact him below to discuss what you want from you session.
Sorry but Christos can't take responsibility for groups of children under the age of 18. But no problem if a parent or responsible person accompanies them for a lesson, however no more than 4 please between the ages of 7-16.
