One of the few gloriously traditional tavernas left on Hydra. Here you can sample a glass of ouzo to accompany your grilled fish or the dish of the day in pleasant surroundings sitting under the trees and umbrellas on the terrace. During the colder months our taverna is a favourite haunt of Hydra locals providing excellently cooked Greek "family" dishes served inside our quaint island taverna.

We are brothers Christos and Anargyros and along with our chef and waiters run a friendly taverna. You will always be welcomed with courtesy and gentle charm. When you see Christos, you'll know you've found the right place - he's got the most magnificent and flamboyant moustache, so he's easy to recognise!

A small budget goes a long way at Sto Steki - making us a favourite with holiday makers and locals alike for lunch or dinner. It's possible to eat well for under 10 euros a head if you choose a filling main course. When you've found your table, we recommended that you come inside to check what the dish of the day is.

In addition to the stews and roasts, you can also choose pork, lamb or chicken grills. Or as an alternative, you could opt for one of the set menus.
