In his speech in the Melina Mercouri Hall on 1st April 2007, the Nomarchias of Piraeus announced plans to pave the coastal footpath from Kamini to Vlihos.

The transformation of the coastal area from Hydra to Kamini with installation of electric lighting, drainage and paving, and also paving the road from Mikro Kamini to the little bridge at Vlihos, total sum of 995.000 euros, is another ambitious proposal which we hope can fulfil all the necessary planning consents and can be carried out as soon as possible.

WE PROTEST……..this must remain an EARTH path. Of course it must be maintained but in its natural state and not be changed by paving it with stones or cement.
