What to expect

Each day begins with one hour of yoga and meditation, followed by a delicious hearty breakfast and then an hour and a half watercolor and sketchbook workshop! The art workshop consists of a short demo and a supervised painting session.

After this, you will be free to explore Hydra with its magnificent sunsets, quirky alleys, and rustic Greek homes for inspiring sceneries. You can swim, relax on the beach, go for walks, explore the island's history and sketch to your heart's content.

In the evening you are welcome to join us on the terrace for the sunset, a glass of wine, and to discuss the day adventures. Students will take home a new confidence in sketching, peace of mind, less stress, fewer worries, many new ideas, and a self-made sketchbook.

This retreat includes accommodation in an old Greek captain’s mansion at the top of the hill overlooking Hydra port. There will be a maximum of 5 participants and we are offering single rooms with double beds which share 2 bathrooms.

Please note participants should be physically fit for the walk to the house!

SKYRAH ARCHER - Yoga Teacher

Skyrah has been practicing yoga since she was a young girl. She completed her training after graduation and has been teaching since.



She teaches many styles but her passion is Vinyasa flow. She has taught beginners as well as advanced students. And her soothing voice is perfect for a relaxed and meditative class. After which your mind will be free and inspired for sketching and art.

ANGELIKA LIALIOS - Art Teacher

Angelika is an artist who's lived on Hydra for 10 years.

She fell in love with Greece and its beautiful landscape the moment she first moved there and loves to sketch the seashells, rocks, houses, painted house doors, and flowers.



She has a passion for nature and wildlife and loves to share that with her students. Her enthusiastic and natural way of teaching is inspiring and uplifting.

Accommodation

Oikonomou House is a prestigious Greek captain’s mansion with a ballroom, library, and palisade overlooking a large walled garden.

This accommodation is exclusive to 5 guests in separate, large private rooms with shared bathrooms with a view of the garden

Guests will have access to a fully equipped kitchen, living rooms, yoga room, library, terraces, and gardens.
