Athens based pre-bookable taxi service for airport transfers or sight-seeing tours.
Nasos is an Athens taxi driver who offers airport transfers to either Piraeus or Metochi for those travelling on to Hydra Island. Also taxi tours of Athens sight-seeing.
Whether you need a quick dash to catch a dolphin, a leisurely mini-tour of Athens en-route to catch a dolphin, you want to stay over in Athens and need a taxi to your hotel, you want a comfortable cross country drive over the Peloponnese or you want to do a tour of Athens sights or surrounding area for the day, Nasos will be able to help you make a plan to best use your time.
Athens Airport Transfer to Piraeus Port
Making your connection for the Hellenic Dolphins/Cats at Piraeus can sometimes be either a quick dash or a boring wait!
A Bit of a Dash?
Nasos can help you to smooth your travel plans and certainly reassure you especially if it's your first visit to Greece.
If it's your first visit and you don't have much more than 1.5 hours (+ 1 hour to get through customs & luggage collection after landing) to get from the airport to Piraeus for your Hellenic connection to Hydra, then it would be best for Nasos to be waiting for you in the arrivals hall with your name on a card as you come out of customs. Then he can help with your luggage and quickly guide you out of the airport to where his car is parked so you don't waste time getting lost.
If you are familiar with the airport layout, then 10 minutes can be saved, if you meet Nasos at the car waiting area opposite the terminal in front of the Sofitel Hotel.
The good thing about taking Nasos' Taxi is that if the roads are congested, unlike a bus, he can change to a different route to avoid the traffic and get you to Piraeus in time for your onward journey.
A Boring Wait?
Out of high season when the Hellenic Service doesn't offer a mid-day sailing but you arrive first thing in the morning, it can be a bit of a bore hanging around either at the airport or Piraeus port waiting for your Hellenic connection to Hydra.
So Nasos can offer you a mini-tour by taxi to some sites around Athens before dropping you off for your onward connection.
The benefits of having a car at your disposal are that you can leave your bags locked securely in the boot so you don't have to drag them around with you. And Nasos will be able to take you to a friendly taverna for refreshments/lunch and he knows the traffic of Athens to ensure you don't end up missing your connection!
The cost of the taxi from AIA to Piraeus (without mini-tour) is approximately €50 for up to 4 passengers and a normal amount of luggage. (There are supplements depending upon the time of year, time of day/night and excess luggage.)
Athens Airport Transfer to Metochi
If you prefer to avoid the Hellenic Dolphins/Cats, it is possible for Nasos to collect you from the airport and drive you directly to the jetty at Metochi so you can catch the little passenger ferry across to Hydra.
It takes about 3 hours from the airport to Metochi so is about the same time it takes to get from the Airport to Piraeus then the sailing time on a cat or dolphin. And of course you can stop whenever you need to along the way. Nasos knows the times of the passenger ferries so he will be able to get you there at just the right time to avoid waiting.
Sight-Seeing Trips (Athens & Peloponnese Mainland)
If you're coming all the way to a Greek Island via Athens it would be a shame to not spend a day at the beginning or end of your holiday taking in some of the sights of Greece's splendid Capital City!
Nasos is happy to arrange a taxi-tour especially planned around your preference.
Visit the Acropolis & Parthenon, watch the changing of the guard (in traditional costume) at the Greek Parliament, the stadium, various Byzantine churches, monuments, the home of the Olympic Games or open-air amphitheatres such as Naphlion. Contact Nasos for more suggestions.
Modern, clean, well-serviced air-conditioned car.
