We're often referred to simply as Douskos Taverna because the taverna has been in the Douskos Family hands for nearly 200 years.
Choose your lunch from the wide range of dishes on our menu, or come inside to see our dishes of the day. Choose your fish from our chill cabinet to be cooked to order. Our fish is always fresh from the fishermens' catch. In addition to our fish and vegetarian menus we also grill chicken and pork and frequently have the tasty beef in red sauce or homemade burgers or mousaka.
Live Music at Weekends
Xeri Elia is the only taverna in Hydra offering traditional Greek live music every weekend throughout the season. Our musicians are available for events during the week too.
And we are a popular choice for community gatherings such as the Carnival Party, Pascha and more recently for annual events such as the Rebetika Event at the end of the season.
Everyone is welcome to join the singing, dancing and fun.
