Inspired by people asking me what they can do when they are on Hydra, I have put together this category to give you some ideas. For those who want a little more activity during their holidays on Hydra, the island has a lot to offer for the more energetic visitor. Many of the activities are available throughout the year making out of season holidays more fun on the days when sunbathing on the beach isn't ideal. And the cost of accommodation on Hydra is cheaper during the Spring and Autumn making a longer stay even more appealing!
Expert hiking guide Stelios Bakratsas is available for guided hikes in the countryside of Hydra. Hikes adapted to suit participants. You'll be in the safest hands with one of the most knowledgeable walking guides on Hydra Island Greece. Hike to visit places like Episkopi, Zourva, the lighthouse or Mount Eros, or specify your own destination.
Palamida is a great destination to walk to because it's on the coast road going west from Hydra Harbour and you simply can't get lost! Palamida is a working hamlet with approximately 40 homes that are more or less lived in year round. There's a small harbour, with a tiny pebble beach to one side, with the island's boatyard immediately behind the beach and further into the valley you'll find an enormous olive grove.
