Eleni Sea Taxi

No Waiting

At the end of your journey the last thing you want to do is hang around waiting ....

If you are flying in from abroad and taking a flying dolphin or cat to the island, the last thing you want when you land on Hydra is to hang around waiting for a taxi to take you to Kamini, Vlychos, Plakes or Mandraki if that's where you are staying.

Please email me with your dates and times and I will be there waiting for you at the harbour wall steps, next to where the dolphins and cats arrive, waiting to complete your onward journey to your final destination - without you having to wait around!

Having Fun

Hydra is surrounded by the most tempting, sparkling, clear seas with gorgeous hidden, natural coves and beaches to enjoy when you are on holiday - if only you had a little boat and a driver!

Make 'Eleni' part of your holiday fun.

I can drop you off at one of the uncommercial coves, with your picnic lunch, leave you there and return to collect you later.

Or I can drive you on 'Eleni' for a whole afternoon so we can potter along the coast, pull in at different bays, float a picnic to a little beach for lunch, dive off the boat into the glorious sea and watch the sunset before heading back after a sundrenched afternoon.

I try to keep my prices as competitive as possible in line with the official tariff, however, I negotiate a price for my 'Having Fun with a Boat' service because it depends on how long, how far, whether you want me to stay etc.

Nizisa Beach is just after St Nikolaos, round the end of the island on the south west coast of Hydra.

Kaoumithi is just after Molos, on the north west coast of Hydra, but well before Bisti.

Eleni has been fitted with a sturdy ladder off the back to enable people to climb in and out of the water safely. On board there is a small fridge and a picnic cool box is supplied for my 'Having Fun with a Boat' service.

Because there are no jettys to tie up alongside at any of the natural beaches, visitors will need to swim/wade to the beach from the boat.

In order to make it easier to get picnics to the beaches, I have a small inflatable dinghy, which can be used to 'float' your lunch from the boat to the beach.

The maximum number of passengers that Eleni is licensed to carry is 8. This is comfortable for eight people heading to a beach to be collected later. But if you want to spend most of the time on board, diving off the boat to swim and eating your picnic on board, then the maximum number to be comfortable would be 4.

Remember to bring, towels, sunblock, a large bottle of water each, your picnic, snorkels and fins. For safety, please also wear sensible shoes just in case you want to explore on land as flip flops won't protect you if you go very far. It is also sensible to bring a fully charged mobile phone with you if you are staying on a beach without Eleni.

Please enquire using the form below. I look forward to seeing you this summer and to 'Having Fun with a Boat'!
