Stretching

The act of releasing tension from the muscles, joints, ligaments and tendons. Achieving flexibility, strength and rejuvenation from within.

Personal Coach, Lina Orologa on Hydra Island Greece

Lina is a full-time resident of Hydra. For years she has taught ballet to the island's youngsters and annually choreographed the dance & movement elements of Hydra's shows & exhibitions.


Over the last 10 years, many adult Hydriots have sought out Lina to help them improve their levels of flexibility, endurance and strength especially those who take part in Marathons, the Hydra Trails and Swim/Run Events where they want to improve their speeds.


And motivated by inactivity & over eating caused by Covid inactivity/restrictions, has driven many, myself included, to seek out Lina's discipline and expertise, in a bid to reverse the adverse effects of having been so slothful. With 1-1 consultation, taking into account my age, weight (at least 10 kilos heavier than my joints can cope with), back damage issues and my starting level of fitness, I am working under Lina's guidance to reverse 10 years from my body! So for all of my 50-60ish friends who have recently looked in the mirror and wondered 'who is that person', I highly recommend that even if you're only able to get a week on Hydra, include a daily hour with Lina to set you up with a realistic routine to take home.


Lina is very professional, no nonsense, disciplined, incredibly fit herself and it has to be said, is built like a stream-lined goddess. Which of course might seem a little intimidating (especially for us ladies who are sporting muffin tops over our trousers). But please don't be put off. Lina is kind and gentle, she has years of experience that allows her to assess the optimum level of push she can give. She knows how to motivate and get the best results. Better still, she will really get as much pleasure as you will from your newly improved body and fitness!


I know of seriously fit people who Lina has helped to improve their running speed with her stretching sessions and I for one am really looking forward to getting back into a bikini next year.
